Changes in Training Requirements for All Faculty, Students, and Staff Conducting Research with Human Subjects at the University of Pittsburgh or UPMC new

The University of Pittsburgh IRB is migrating to a new human subjects training program that has been developed by Collaborative Institutional Training Institute (CITI). Effective March 5, 2012, this program will replace the previously required “Module 1 –Research Integrity” and “Module 2 – Human Subjects Research”.

Important: Upgrade to OSIRIS Version 2 by June 30, 2012

All approved non-exempt studies REGARDLESS OF STATUS in the OSIRIS Version 1 format which will still be active on or after June 30, 2012 must be converted to OSIRIS Version 2 prior to that date or they will be automatically withdrawn from the system.Click here for more information.
