Scenario: I have a MODIFICATION submission in review and I sent a comment to the IRB staff person from the STUDY workspace. The IRB staff person has not responded to my question.

Issue: The comment was sent to the IRB staff person associated with the STUDY not the individual associated with the modification project. OSIRIS is a series of independent projects: Study, Modification, Renewal, and Unanticipated Problems. All activities related to that specific project must be completed on that project’s workspace.

Resolution: To send a comment to the IRB staff person in regard to a MODIFICATION:

• Go to the “Modification” workspace (Not the “Study” workspace)
• Under “My Activities” click on “Send Comments to IRB”
• The IRB staff person assigned to the Modification will then receive the message
